When you pour your heart into a creative business—spending your evenings editing galleries, hunting down the best Montana sunset light, and chasing toddlers through the foothills—it means the absolute world to have your local community notice.

Whether you’ve trusted me to document your wedding day, capture your growing family, or preserve your babies while they are still this small, thank you. This nomination belongs to you just as much as it does to me, because your stories are what bring this art to life.

Why Local Matters to Me

Billings isn't just a place where I work; it's home. From the open skies to the rugged backdrop of the Rimrocks, this community shapes the entire aesthetic of Mackenzie Scheie Photography.

My goal has always been to provide a high-end, unhurried portrait experience right here in our backyard. That means stepping away from the rushed, cookie-cutter mini-sessions and instead focusing on slow, intentional storytelling. Whether we are planning a maternity session, a full family portrait commission, or capturing an intimate wedding day, my heart is always invested in creating heirloom art for local families.
